In the Umbrian hills, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and vineyards, stands Ducrot Rose Garden, a country house in a panoramic position on Corbara Lake, between Orvieto and Todi.
This old farmhouse, called Caselle, an oasis of peace and beauty, has been carefully restored in the traditional Umbrian style. Caselle preserves its original structure and features unique furnishings made by Vittorio Ducrot in Palermo between the 1910s and 1930s.
The restoration, carried out with care and respect for historical memory, has preserved the authenticity of this rural jewel.
Umbria, famous for production of fine extra virgin olive oil and excellent wines, reveals its historical and cultural wealth also in the area surrounding the Ducrot Rose Garden, where you can breathe an atmosphere of authenticity and tradition.
The Ducrot Rose Garden houses a real treasure: a botanical laboratory dedicated to the preservation and development of rare species of roses. Vicky and Isabella Ducrot, animated by a limitless passion, have collected for fifty years every type of wild rose they encountered during their travels around the world.
Today, the rose garden houses a collection of 650 varieties and botanicals, totalling some 3000 specimens.
Despite the difficulties imposed by drought in recent years, the Ducrot Rose Garden still pursues the objective of preserving and expanding its rose collection.
A constant commitment that turns this place into a reference laboratory for enthusiasts and researchers..
