100% Plastic Free

Africa | Kenya | Lemek

Saruni started eliminating plastic bottles from its camps and lodges since Kenya banned the use of plastic bags in 2018. At Saruni Wild, bringing in plastic bottles is also prohibited at guest level. Infact they are provided by an aluminium take-away bottle with their names on a label, on arrival. Each room and all common areas have a water dispenser so guests can re-fill their bottles at any time. Water is served in jugs during meals while the guides are in charge of refilling guests' water bottles during excursions.

Saruni Wild

Saruni Wild is a comfortable tented camp located in a private conservation area, Lemek Conservancy on the border with Mara North Conservancy, outside the Masai Mara National Reserve, the mostfamous wildlife park in Africa. Surrounded by pristine, untouched wilderness, it boasts a privileged position with endless views of the Mara plains. Consisting of only 3 elegantly furnished tents it offers an exclusive stay with excellent service and Italian-inspired cuisine. Each tent is fully equipped, with a private bathroom and a large veranda. Staying at Saruni Wild means being able to discover the real Africa and interact with authentic Maasai warriors. Sometimes it is possible to see them dancing at night around the camp's large fire. Game drives are carried out with open vehicles and led by expert guides to guarantee an exciting, comfortable and safe adventure.

The daily conservation per person per night included in the rate is 116$ at Saruni Mara, Saruni Sumburu and Saruni Wild: at Saruni Rhino it is 175$ per person per night as this amount goes back to the community and the protection of the rhino in the Rhino Sanctuary. It also includes a dayli rhino tracking session
