To counter the use of single-use plastic, such as that of water bottles, a bottling plant has been designed to meet all the needs of the island. COMO Laucala Island, the initiator of the project, has begun negotiations and finalized a plan for its implementation, making it accessible to all staff and guest outlets. The water treatment plant will provide pure natural and carbonated water packaged in refillable glass bottles. In addition, the resort will distribute water bottles to all staff members.
The plant will be painstakingly maintained, with bottles sterilized in special machines between uses.
