Saruni Wild staff, made up of local community members, have begun a local reforestation project that involves planting new trees within schools and public facilities. Each student chooses his or her own tree, then plants it and follows its growth. In this way, the community is made aware of reforestation and the preservation of typical habitats in the area, as well as waste recycling.
The special feature of the project, in fact, is the recycling and reuse of the tetrapak packaging that is used by the Saruni guides to transport the young saplings.
Saruni Wild is an exclusive tented camp located in the private Lemek Conservancy in the Mara North Conservancy, bordering the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.
