The Palazzetto is proposed as an authentic expression of Ponza's typical tradition and hospitality. Therefore, we chose to involve the local community from the restoration phase, employing labor from the island and selecting a local staff to welcome guests. We wanted to create an inclusive synergy by involving local entrepreneurs, the neighborhood and community representatives, with the goal of transforming Il Palazzetto Ponza into a place where guests can fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the island, interacting with its people and appreciating their authentic warmth.
Palazzetto Ponza opened its doors in the spring of 2024.
This charming residence of just six rooms, located in Località Santa Maria, is one of the oldest buildings on the island of Ponza. Recently undergoing conservative restoration, the Palazzetto has been faithfully reconstructed based on the original archival photos. The facade brings back the original shades of typical Ponza houses, and in the rooms one can admire the typical "domed" vaults.
