Oasi Dynamo promotes scientific research and environmental education, offering a unique setting for primary and secondary schools and universities. Educational initiatives include guided excursions, WWF summer camps with activities such as trekking and nature workshops, as well as workshops for university students.
The reserve also hosts innovative research projects for the monitoring and conservation of species of community interest, such as the monitoring of the Apennine wolf and the study of the Red-backed Shrike, in collaboration with prestigious organisations such as CNR and ISPRA. Thanks to advanced techniques such as photo-trapping and scientific ringing, the Oasis contributes to increasing knowledge of protected species and ecosystems. Since 2022, the Oasis has hosted the annual meeting of the National Geographic Explorers, an event that brings together researchers from all over the world to share studies, participate in training sessions and promote innovative solutions for environmental conservation. This synergy between education and research reinforces the Oasis' role as a reference point for the protection of natural heritage.
Oasyhotel is the hospitality project by Oasi Dynamo. It is located in Tuscany, within the WWF-affiliated Oasi Dynamo Nature Reserve, which covers an area of approximately 1,000 hectares of mainly wooded land. This authentic natural sanctuary is home to a rich biodiversity, including wolves, deer and a variety of plant species typical of the Pistoia area.
Oasyhotel is the first structure in Italy to be built as part of a project to create accommodation areas within WWF-affiliated oases. This new form of hospitality is designed to enhance the places, offering authentic and exclusive experiences, where guests can completely immerse themselves in the benefits of nature.
The structure consists of 17 wooden eco lodges and a single loft, designed to guarantee maximum comfort in an eco-sustainable context. The large windows and panoramic verandas allow total immersion in the surrounding landscape, offering guests the opportunity to experience the beauty and energy of nature in an intimate and relaxing way. Thanks to the richness of the Nature Reserve, Oasyhotel offers a wide range of activities: trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, stand-up paddle and horseback riding. Guided hikes allow you to explore an area rich in ancient trees, protected fauna and native plants. There are also relaxing and cultural experiences, such as yoga lessons, historical and cultural tours, forest bathing and orientation courses.
The Nature Reserve that hosts Oasyhotel has as its mission the conservation of biodiversity, carried out through scientific research and the agricultural and breeding activities managed by Oasi Dynamo, the farm that provides 0 km products for the hotel's restaurant. Oasyhotel fits into this ecosystem as a driver of tourist enhancement, while the management of the reserve and the environmental and social awareness work are entrusted to the collaboration between Oasi Dynamo, Fondazione Dynamo and WWF Italia.
