For years, Swala Sanctuary has been actively supporting the education of children in local communities, with the goal of providing educational opportunities and raising awareness of the importance of environmental conservation among the younger generation.
Guests at Swala Camp can visit one of the schools that AKP has assisted through construction and infrastructure improvement projects. During the visit, the AKP Field Coordinator will provide additional details about the local culture and traditions.
There are three primary schools supported by AKP in the vicinity of Swala Camp:
Gijedabung Primary School: AKP funded the construction of a kitchen, teachers' quarters, toilets, and several classroom blocks to respond to the growing student population over the years.
Mwikantsi Primary School: Thanks to AKP’s support, a kitchen and a classroom block were built.
Hydadonga Primary School: AKP funded the construction of a new classroom block dedicated to kindergarten students.

The heart of the resort is an elegant central area, built on stilts around a majestic, centuries-old baobab tree, where you will find the dining room, library and a panoramic terrace. For moments of pure relaxation, a spectacular infinity pool overlooks the savannah, offering breathtaking views.
