Wilderness Ruckomechi, as conservation private area bordering Zimbabwe's Mana Pools, is a stable buffer to protect local wildlife along the river like hyppos and elephants. Each stay at Rockomechi allows the management to have a positive and meningful impact on this land to protect the habitat and wotk with local communities to do the same.
Ruckomechi Camp is located in a large private concession in the heart of the Zambezi Valley’s Mana Pools Park, upstream from Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. This National Park, within the Zambezian and Mopane woodlands ecoregion,offers spectacular views and a large concentrations of buffalo and elephant, while predators such as lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah can be also seen. Birdlife is superb, with numerous local specials like collared palm-thrush and racket-tailed roller. Ruckomechi Camp has 10 spacious and beautifully decorated en-suite tents, including 2 bigger for families. They are built on low wooden decks offering a veranda overlook the Zambezi River. Each tent feature a sleeping area with bed…a big bathroom with shower, double basin vanity and separate toilet and a indoor lounge area. The main central area includes a cozy outdoor fire pit for pleasant African nights, a pool with a beautiful view over a vast section of the River, and a romantic Star Bed by a busy waterhole
