BIOSPHERE CONSERVATION

Project description

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is committed to preserve the Hon Heo mountain area where the black-shanked douc langur threatened species usually visit the reservoir during the dry season. Resort collaborated with the NGO Green Viet, where biologists have identified 106 individuals , 15 plant specifies on which langur feed, and also 20 popular behaviors. The resort is also committed in a coral reef restoration program to protect and preserve the pristine, yet fragile marine ecosystem surrounding the resort in various stages. The main objective at this stage is to establish a swimming/snorkeling pathway through the reef, create an inventory of marine life and protect the reef from further damage. The marine biologists will also train the resort guides so that they can in turn instruct the guests on the correct behavior to adopt during snorkeing activities.
