Elephant project

BIOSPHERE CONSERVATION

Project description

This project, centered in Selinda Reserve, was created to protect elephants from poaching, hunting and the simple expanding of human population. These are the main causes which contributed over the years to the sharp decrease in the number of specimens in Africa. At the end of the dry season, each year, the reserve is home to over nine thousand elephants.
