Toka Leya Camp is centrally located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park where buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and white rhinos live.Hippos, crocodiles and elephants are often seen, as well as an incredible diversity of birdlife. Overlooking Zambesi River’s islands Toka Leya offers the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Morning explorations of the river, the surrounding Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park or nearby Victoria Falls can be followed by a tranquil afternoon at spa or practicing yoga on the panoramic gym’s deck. Toka Leya Camp, limiting its footprint on this pristine area, has twelve spacious en-suite safari-style tents (including three family tents) with expansive decks with spectacular  views and glimpses of wildlife. Wooden walkways link the tents to the main dining, bar and lounge area are complemented by an infinity pool, a sundeck for sumptuous meals and a convivial fire pit for night-time gatherings.

The Victoria Falls artworks are made by explorer Thomas Baines, who travelled with David Livingstone during the 1858 Zambezi expeditions, they bring the majesty of Victoria Falls indoor Toka Leya. Tracking rhino at Wilderness Toka Leya is an exhilarating way of getting up close and personal with ... these endangered animals. Zambian Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) scouts monitor these rhino 24 hours a day and therefore the animals’ whereabouts are always known. Travel to the location by vehicle, and then track the rhino on foot, accompanied by the scout. * Please note that a nominal park fee is applicable.

Back of House Tour

An opportunity for guests to gain an understanding of the camp’s eco-friendly initiatives. Energy ... saving is explained, including how waste water is reused in the camp nursery which was established to rehabilitate the area. The camp’s worm farm not only assists in the degradation of organic waste, it is the perfect fertiliser for the indigenous trees in the nursery – which are then planted in areas where they once grew. Guests have the chance to participate in our rehabilitation efforts as well by planting their very own tree.
