Su Gologone Experience Hotel, is located in Oliena in the splendid Barbagia, a rugged and surprising land of Sardinia, with the sea only a few tens of kilometres away. Founded as a restaurant in 1967, Su Gologone passes on its love for the territory from generation to generation thanks to its gastronomic offer and the 68 rooms and suites that represent true experiences of Sardinian art, culture and hospitality.

The hotel is set in a 10-hectare private park, surrounded by oleander woods and Mediterranean maquis. It has two restaurants serving authentic and exquisite Sardinian cuisine, three bars each enriched with unique details, including the Magical Tablao for unforgettable aperitifs among white rocks, coloured cushions and juniper trunks. The hotel's strong culinary tradition reaches its peak between May and September, when experiential dinners are organised, with tastings of local gastronomic specialities, prepared according to ancient cooking techniques, and presented by staff dressed in Oliena's typical costumes.

Embellished with the artistic originality of Giovanna Palimodde, Peppeddu's daughter who founded the restaurant, the rooms are different from each other and alternate indoor and outdoor spaces that are redecorated every year. The Wellness Centre, the Fitness Centre, a large swimming pool, tennis and miniature golf courses and two splendid terraces, the Terrace of Desires and the Terrace of Dreams, where guests can enjoy moments of great relaxation and pleasant evenings under the stars, complete the facilities.

Su Gologone offers a wide range of activities during your stay: cooking classes, art tours and excursions to discover the most authentic natural and cultural wonders of its territory. There are six Art Workshops, real design, ceramics, painting and embroidery workshops, housed in the old stables of the property, where courses are held and ‘Su Gologone Style’ creations can be purchased.

Art Studio Suite

This suite, the most exclusive at Su Gologone, originates from the former creati ... ve studio of hotel owner Giovanna Palimodde, who has chosen to share a unique space dedicated to quiet and inspiration with her artist guests. Lively furnished, the suite has several rooms: a comfortable double bedroom, a cosy living area with a sofa bed and a creative area equipped with everything you need to paint and let yourself be carried away by the evocative atmosphere that surrounds it. The bathroom includes a spacious shower and three sinks, one of which is specially designed for cleaning brushes, underlining the artistic vocation of this space. Outside, a large private garden offers an oasis of relaxation, enhanced by an outdoor bed and bathtub, perfect for immersing oneself in nature in total tranquillity.

Experience Suite

Characterised by an innovative design, these suites are developed through three ... indoor and outdoor spaces, harmoniously furnished with custom-made furniture. The spaces are decorated with unique details that recall the Sardinian art and tradition of Barbagia, creating an authentic and refined atmosphere. Each suite includes a comfortable sleeping area with a double bed, a living area with a sofa bed and a spacious terrace. The latter is embellished with an open-air lounge and an outdoor bathtub, ideal for relaxing immersed in the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Suite Colores

These open-plan suites offer comfort and versatility, some featuring a separate ... sitting area from the sleeping area for added privacy. They are elegantly furnished and equipped with a double bed or two single beds, accompanied by a large bathroom complete with bathtub or shower. Each suite boasts an exclusive private terrace, enhanced by a whirlpool bath, perfect for relaxing moments immersed in the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Art Suite

These open-plan suites, each unique, have one or two separate spaces. They offer ... a twin or double room, an elegant sitting area and a large terrace, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the view. The spacious and well-maintained bathrooms are equipped with a whirlpool bath or a hydromassage shower and sauna, for a total wellness experience. A touch of charm has been added to some suites with a fireplace in the living area, perfect for creating an intimate and cosy atmosphere.

Art Junior Suite

The hotel's Junior Suites are all unique, the Junior Suites dell'Arte are inspir ... ed by the great Sardinian artists of the 20th century, including Federico Melis, Giuseppe Biasi and Edina Altara. Each suite offers a large double bedroom and a comfortable seating area, furnished with period furniture and embellished with fine embroideries handmade by the skilled artisans of Oliena. Each Junior Suite has a private balcony or terrace, ideal for relaxing while admiring the surrounding landscape. Deluxe & Deluxe Emotion

The Deluxe rooms offer refined elegance, with a cosy sleeping area and a living ... area with a sofa bed. Each room is complemented by a spacious bathroom with shower and a balcony that opens onto the surrounding nature. Furnished with traditional furniture in authentic Sardinian style and decorated in bright colours, some boast a romantic wrought-iron or carved wooden four-poster bed. The Deluxe Emotion rooms are Deluxe with a touch of exclusivity: they feature an outdoor Jacuzzi for moments of pure relaxation and, in some, an outdoor sitting area, perfect for enjoying the unique atmosphere of the place.

Typical Restaurant

The hotel's main restaurant, with its à la carte menu, offers traditional Barbagia dishes, prepared with fresh, km 0 ingredients. The cosy atmosphere, characterised by a large fireplace and carefully set tables, makes each gastronomic experience even more special and authentic. The aromas that accompany each meal in the main restaurant remain in the heart: from the enveloping scent of maccarones de busa and pane frattau, to the unique flavour of suckling pig, to the sweetness of seadas with honey, the perfect finale to an unforgettable meal. In the shop adjacent to the restaurant, you can buy typical Sardinian food and wine products and kitchen utensils made by local craftsmen, to take home a piece of this unique culinary tradition.

The Gazebo Bar & Restaurant

The Gazebo Bar and Restaurant is a charming dining area located next to the swim ... ming pool, perfect for indulging in a break of taste and relaxation. Here you can enjoy fresh salads, light snacks, freshly prepared fruit and vegetable extracts, as well as delicious homemade ice creams. Characterised by a lively atmosphere and warm red tones, the Gazebo invites you to relax: stretch out in a hammock in the shade or dive into the spring-fed pool for a rejuvenating and unforgettable experience.

From May to September, the hotel organises atmospheric open-air dinners on alter ... nate evenings, a unique opportunity to rediscover traditional flavours and culinary techniques. Each experience is designed to celebrate authentic gastronomy in extraordinary settings. The Dinner in the Bread Nest is an evening dedicated to the art of bread-making, with practical demonstrations of the preparation of different types of bread, followed by the tasting of bread-based culinary specialities; the Dinner in the Corte De Su Re, a journey into the flavours of the past, with ancient spit-roasted meat cooking techniques, accompanied by a selection of excellent food and wine; and the Dinner in the Kitchen Garden, a vegetarian proposal that emphasises 0 km products.
