Castello del Nero's sommelier will share his knowledge of Chianti Classico with you during the one-hour tasting session, accompanied by a sampling of local cured meats and cheeses.During the grape harvest, you will have the opportunity to organize an experience so that you can try the "pigéage" production method with your hands and feet; in fact, after picking the grapes by hand, you will be able to squeeze the wine barefoot and enjoy a picnic in the vineyard. Classes consist of 2 to 6 people to make it easier to personalize the experience and all end with a tasting of the dishes just made. The chef's classes are based on 3 traditional Italian dishes and range from preparing homemade pasta to making the perfect tiramisu. Alternatively, you can make your favorite pizza, which will be baked in a wood-fired oven. In addition to the Castello's chef's lessons, guests will have the opportunity to go to Gelateria Dondoli in San Gimignano, a 40-minute drive from COMO Castello del Nero, where they can learn, together with Sergio Dondoli, one of the few remaining "master gelato makers," the art of making gelato. Dondoli's gelateria is world famous for its original creations: Crema di Santa Fina, with saffron and pine nuts; Champelmo with pink grapefruit and sparkling wine; Dolceamaro, an herb-flavored cream; and Sorbetto alla Vernaccia.
