COMO Uma Paro, located on the cusp of the Paro Valley, has breathtaking views of pristine mountains and pine-covered slopes from its 38-acre estate of 20 rooms and nine villas. The lodge serves Bhutanese and Western dishes, composed around locally available seasonal produce in the Bukhari Restaurant, named after the traditional 'bukhari' fire. The restaurant also offers COMO Shambhala Cuisine-healthy dishes rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals.

COMO Shambhala Retreat at Uma Paro resort features two private Bhutanese hot-sto ... ne bathhouses, an indoor pool, a mountain-facing sundeck and more. Our treatments can also be brought to you; each of our eight villas has their own therapy suite for wellness in total seclusion. This uniquely Bhutanese experience comprises of a bath and massage that uses heated river stones to help relieve deep-set aches and pains. When placed in water, the hot stones crack and steam, releasing key minerals that help to aid stress and soothe the body. The treatment concludes with our signature COMO Shambhala Massage.

Freewheeling

There's nothing better than freewheeling through the mountains on deserted roads. The route starts a ... t 3,988m at Chele La with the option to hike to Kila Shedra Convent in advance. A journey through forests of blue pines and rhododendrons to the Paro Valley, with views of Bhutan's second highest peak, Mount Jhomolhari (7,314 m). The route continues through the town of Paro Bondey before climbing the gentle slope to the hotel.
