Upon arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Morning dedicated to the excursion to the Devrent Valley and Monaco, one of the best sites where to admire the chimneys of the fairies, peculiar rock formations formed as a result of the erosive action of the water. Continuing to the city of Avanos, on the banks of the Kilizimark River, the red river.
After lunch visit the open-air museum of Goreme, where you will find the remains of churches carved into the rock. Before returning to the hotel, stop at Uchisar Castle, a citadel perched on a rocky spur, which offers a breathtaking view of the valley below. Overnight stay.
After breakfast leave the hotel for the excursion of the Red Valley: you’ll visit the famous churches carved into the rock and walk through the valley of Gulludere. Visit of the village of Cavusin, carved into the white rock, now almost completely abandoned: here is the church of San Giovanni Battista, one of the oldest in Cappadocia. Panoramic visit of the Valley of the Pigeons, so called for the numerous pigeons carved by hand in the rock. After lunch visit to the underground city of Kaymakli, the largest in Cappadocia, where the first Christians found refuge against persecution.
Back to the hotel, overnight.
Departure at dawn for an unforgettable experience aboard a hot air balloon that will fly over the extraordinary rock formations of Cappadocia. At the end return to the hotel and breakfast.
Rest of the day free. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Morning tour to Mustafapasa (Sinasos), an old Greek town, with its spectacular houses with sumptuous facades. Proceed to Sahinefendi (Sobesos): the recent excavations, carried out in 2002, have highlighted an ancient Roman settlement with interesting mosaics. Visit the valley of Soganli, an open-air museum, and the typical village with churches carved into the rock and their unique frescoes.
After lunch you’ll visit of the monastery of Keslik, also called Monastery of the Archangels, a very suggestive place, whose frescoes are however much damaged by the smoke. At the end return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Breakfast and transfer to the airport. End of services.
